Comments: Eagle lake is still beautiful, and i enjoy my time there still. I have lot's of great memories of summer's growing up there as a kid at my uncles camp's and then across the lake as a teen. Lot's of people I met that I will never forget. That's where i learnt how to fish,clean the fish, then boat over across the lake to Mrs.Dumond's (Danny Dumond's mom) store for a treat. catch blood sucker's & scare all the grownup's w/ them. Then in my teen's The Gosline's in Winterville where very good to me. There I was blessed.(:Lot's of great time's to often remember smile. So, Hi to all of you here that I recognize. Brenda

Comments: Silver Lake Ring found and was curious about the history of it. Bought a house that I sold to my son in Porter. During a recent fire and tearing the house apart for repair an oval faced silver ring with Eagle Lake inscibed was found. Ring is old from the wear of it but the face is sectioned into quarters with one quarter of it having what appears to be a surveyors tripod legged monolular. On the chain attached to the ring (mans ring large) is what appears to be a four leafed german cross with the initials J.L. Any and all information would be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time. Jerry

Comments: Thank you for such a wonderful website of Eagle Lake. What a joy it was to visit it! I love Eagle & I am proud to say that is where I grew up. I have so many wonderful childhood memories growing up there and remember so many people. I was born in July 1947 & graduated from Fort Kent Community High in 1965. My parents are Joseph & Eveline. They lived in the same house in the "Slab Alley" for almost 60 years where they raised 13 children....Jeanne, Germaine, Juanita, Leo, Norman, Juliette, Edmund, Paul, Pauline, Jacqueline, Madeline, Elaine and myself. After all these years Eagle Lake is still the place that I think of when I want a peaceful thought.

Comments: My mom (Rella Albert) recently enjoyed the Albert family reunion in Eagle Lake and was told about the Eagle Lake website. My family has not been able to visit the town and our relatives there in a very long time and we found the website to be a lot of fun to view through. I am wanting to start a family tree for my daughter so that she can see how rooted our family is in the beautiful northern tip of Maine as she was born here in BC and has only visited twice (with plenty more visits to come). My grand parednts are Lester and Joan Berube (on moms side) and Blanche Gagnon, on dads side (not sure of grandfathers name he passed when i was three). My grandmother was Rose Langlais, her parents were Edward Langlais and Delina Dube Albert. Edwards parents were Vitale Langlais and Alma Roy dit Voisine. Delina's parents were Joseph Dube and Plebbie Soucie. Any history is most welcome! I have never been to Eagle Lake but it is my dream to take my family there. Comments: Our daughter Marianna and ourseleves love Northern Maine. I spent so much time in Eagle Lake visiting my grandparents who are now passed. Their names were Yvonne Pellitier and Dennis Pellitier. When a child I came up to visit with my parents who are both from Northern Maine (Ellery and Terry Belanger). My mom's parents lived off of third ave. We walked around town all the time and went to both of the stores in town to buy candy and Humpty Dumpty chips. (we can't get them here). I also have two living grandparents who we love so much, Orene and Threse Belanger iof Wallagrass, on good ol route 11. He use to bring me fishing many times with his boat on Eagle Lake. Now that I am married, when my wife and daughter go up with me each year to visit my grandparents and aunts and uncles (Fran and Ricky Voisine) we use Jeannette Labonte's atv to cruise around the trails. And we hike with our daughter in the woods, hoping to see some of the great wildlife. We have seen moose and deer and etc. We love the Eagle Lake area so much and this is truly God's country.

Comments: Hello dear friends of Eagle Lake and surrounding towns that attended Fort Kent Community High School. I have lived with my husband, Stan and daughter, Tanya, in Texas for 23 years. This place is as close as you can get to Eagle Lake. Not small, HUGE city, but the people here are my intersts. For the most part, their love of country music and "old family ways" are endearing. My father was Romeo Blanchette, who died while we lived in Eagle Lake, and then Mom, Kay Soucie Blanchette moved us to Hartord, Connecticut, so that she could be closer her her family and at the same time support herself and her four children (Herman, Hope, Phyllis and myself). It has been a good life. I believe, however, that the structure of a small town, and importantly our mother, had a great advantage of how we view life. Mom died in July 1977 of cancer and we miss her more than life itself. She was a INCREDIBLE woman. I occasionally reflect back to my youth and there is nothing I would change.......I was surrounded with wonderful friends and a lifestyle, at that time, that was not so challenging as it is today for our children. One day I want to make a trip down memory lane to Eagle Lake. I still have great friends there who communicate with me, and its always heartfelt to hear from them. Some things, friendship, never changes......no matter how many miles and years that have separated us.

Comments: Back in 1968 when I lived in Bangor, ME, I purchased a 2-seat oak railroad seat from an antique store. This seat had been the original seat from Eagle Lake, ME at the turn of the Century. It was supposedly restored and given to someone in the Eagle Lake railroad ... possibly the engineer, when they retired. Seems to have some interesting history!

Comments: My grandparents Saul and Emily michaud owned and operated Eagle Lake Camps from 1921 to 1960. My mother leonora michaud eldest of four girls as well as the sister of Lucian Michaud who recently passed away. Our family (the Richers)_ went to the camps every summer for two months. Our parents were both teachers in massachusetts. The summers were wonderful and we caught many fish over the years. My most fond memories of my youth are at eagle lake. This summer we hade a family reunion of all of the michaud grandchildren with our spouses. we had a great time. Ed Clarke was our host and we wish him the most sincerest success with his sporting camps.

He died in 1973, in a heliocopter crash in Lake Maranacook at Readfield, Me. I have many, many geat memeories of my summer visits to Eagle Lake. I used to know a girl named Rachel Berube, who grew-up in Eagle Lake. I last saw her in the 1960s, in CT, when I was in the Navy. Linda & Dick's children attended elementary school in Eagle Lake. Today, the family has a camp on along Eagle Lake which the boys, Dean & Donald constructed on property which Dick bought when they lived in the area. The house is no longer there, but my memories of Plaisted will live forever. It was the best darn place in the world for a child to grow up. Everything children would want to do was right at their fingertips. There was brook fishing,lake fishing, ice skating, swimming, biking, sliding, community ball games, picking all sorts of berries and nuts, hiking and hunting. My mother's brother was Gonzaque(?spelling)Paradis who lived to be 97. There were 20 children in my mother's family. Uncle Hector Paradis lived in Wallagrass and drove the school bus. Comments: Greetings: I am a descendant of Solomon and Ozithee (Sadie) Paradis (e). Ozithee's last name was Chasse. I believe they were married at St. Mary's Church on November 15, 1909. I am doing some research on my heritage. They apparently settled in the area until approximately 1917/1918. After the traggic death of their son Rosario (Tutu) who was hit by a train they moved.
